QAS was established in 1987 as a privately owned family company. The present owners, Tony and Cheryl Illing, have a long history in the seed industry and operate under the same independent, family-owned model as the company founders. QAS specialise in tropical and subtropical pasture seed, legumes and forage crops. Managing Director Tony Illing has over 30 years experience working in the agricultural seed industry.
QAS has been recommending and selling Progardes since its release in 2012. "The results have been outstanding. Our customers are telling us that their pastures are healthier and productivity has increased."
In 2019 Andrew Ferguson joined the QAS team after more than a decade working at Selected Seeds and running a rural store near Toowoomba. With a keen interest in pasture productivity, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge around farming systems and tropical legumes.
